World-wide mission opportunities…

Immediate Needs

Peace has been partnering with World Relief to sponsor refugees for resettlement in the Chippewa Valley. Every Presidential administration has different priorities, but regardless of their country of origin, World Relief has consistently offered incoming refugees the same services and kindness, while continuing to advocate for and care for those who are most vulnerable.

Currently, the U.S. is primarily resettling Afrikaners from South Africa. This population has different resources and experiences than other populations World Relief has previously resettled. At the same time, these people will still benefit from support that enables them to flourish in a new place. Upon arrival, World Relief is seeking donations of apartment supplies to help them feel welcome as they settle into their home in the U.S.

Peace has agreed to assist. We are told that the families arriving typically consist of 2 parents and a teenager, possibly 2 children. Click the button below to see a list of needed items and/or sign up to donate. If you have any questions or would like to help deliver the donations, contact Vince Maro. All donations must be dropped off at the church by March 8, 2026.

Rising Hope

Rising Hope is a non-profit based out of Eau Claire and started by our own Peace Church member, Jill Wendtland. She spent two years in Jos, Nigeria involved in two years of working with an HIV/AIDS ministry. Once Jill returned home in 2008, she wanted to respond as Jesus would to the many people living in poverty there. Rising Hope is working to help break the cycle of poverty that is prevalent there.
