Peace’s Prayer Walk Guide

Theme Verse

Preparing for Your Prayer Walk.

  • Set Your Heart.

    Begin in prayer. Invite God to open your eyes and lead you. 

    Ask the Spirit to give you a heart of love and attention. 

    Pray that people in our city experience the full life Jesus offers. 

  • Listen to the Shepherd's Voice.

    "My sheep listen to my voice" — be open to hearing from God. 

    Pay attention to what God is saying through what you see, feel, and notice. 

  • Keep It Simple.

    Walk solo, with a friend, or in a group. 

    Choose a neighborhood, park, downtown area, or place on your heart. 

    Pray quietly or aloud. Trust that God is present and listening. 

    Don’t worry if you have any words to say. God enjoys your presence with him. 

On the Walk:
Discover. Grow. Go.

  • Discover.

    How can I worship God as I walk? 

    What am I discovering about the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit? 

    Why might God be leading me this way today? 

    Pray that those along your path would discover God’s good 

  • Grow.

    Who has God placed around me in this neighborhood or city? 

    Who is walking with me? How can I pray for them? 

    Who is on my heart as I walk? 

    Who am I encountering, and how can I bless or pray for them? 

  • Go.

    What is the Spirit of God doing in this place? 

    Where is God moving in Eau Claire? 

    Where might God be calling Peace Church? 

    Where might God be calling me personally? 

    What is God putting on my heart to respond to? 

    Pray that those along your path would discover God’s goodness in Jesus. 

Final Encouragement.

  • God is bringing life to Eau Claire through Jesus. As you walk, listen for His voice and trust that He is leading you, your church, and your city into fullness of life. God is your good Shepherd, and He knows you.

    For Discover --- I would encourage prayer that those in the area they are walking would discover God’s goodness in Jesus. 

    Grow --  Prayer that those in the area being walked would be blessed by the Christian community in Eau Claire, and be drawn to connect with Peace or another church?   

    I would suggest fewer prompts for the final reflection and journaling sections.  I think keeping it shorter and simpler would make it more likely for people to engage with it.
