Week 6 |  All Together

One in mind, one in body, one in spirit, one in will. This is not just a word on how we are to fully love God, but that our lives are held together by this very love of God. Our mind, body, and soul are perfectly held together within when we align them all together in love of God

Monday | Psalm 51:6-10

Truth in the inmost being… a clean heart… a renewed spirit… This is God’s desire for you. What does this tell you about God’s will for you? Why is it important to start with God’s desire for you, rather than your own? What lies are hiding in your inmost being, and what truth do you need to let shine there?

Tuesday | Psalm 139:1-6

God knows everything about us. Not just the external, factual details: God knows our motivations and desires. What things do you believe you’re hiding from God? How does praying this Psalm change how you view your words and actions? Why do you think God hems us in behind and before?

Wednesday | Psalm 139:13-16

God planned each and every physical and factual detail of your life. God knows intimately what each day of your life will bring. How does that change your view of the future? What does this do to worry and anxiety? Why do you think God has put your life together the way it is, and is there anything you used to dislike about yourself/ your life that God has helped you see why it is there?

Thursday | Psalm 139:23-24

After praying about hating God’s enemies, the Psalmist ends by inviting God to shape his heart fully. As God holds us together, why do you think it is essential to ask God specifically to continue holding us together? Allow these verses to lead you into confession, and receive God’s forgiveness as you are led in the way of everlasting life.

Friday | Mark 12:28-34

Love is what holds us together. God is love, and it defines the life God has in mind for his creatures. How does love define your life? What is it that you love most, if you look at your time, attention, spending, and energy? Why do we need Jesus to reshape our hearts, and what are you asking Jesus to change in your heart, mind, soul, or body to help you love more like him?
