The Book of Revelation provides a vivid overview of “God’s grand plan to defeat evil, rescue his people, and transform his creation.” This week, we take a look at the recurring theme of God's eternal sovereignty and glory. He is the one "Who was, who is, and is to come."

Monday | Genesis 1:1-10 (preferably read 1:1-2:3)
As you reflect on the creation story, what thoughts about God and his nature stand out to you? What is in your heart as you think of God existing outside of our time and space?

Tuesday | Isaiah 44:6-8
From ancient times, God’s people have proclaimed that the God of the Bible is the only true deity. Do you believe this to be true? Why? What does it mean to you that He is the first and the last? How have you experienced God’s glory in a meaningful way?

Wednesday | Revelation 1:1-8 & 4:1-11
In spite of his unfathomable power and glory, God has chosen to reveal Himself to his people through His Word. Why is it important that God speaks to us this way? As you reflect on the picture of the glorious throne room, how is God speaking to you? Why do the angels and creatures say that God is deserving of praise and glory? How do you think God would have us respond to these words in Revelation?

Thursday | John 1:1-5 & 1 John 1:1-4
What do these verses teach about who Jesus is? How do they encourage you to trust that God loves you and has a plan for your future?

Friday | Hebrews 1:1-9
How can dwelling on the full deity of Jesus give you hope in difficult times? What does it say about his promises of forgiveness, salvation, and life in his eternal Kingdom?
