Week of January 25, 2026
The Book of Revelation provides a vivid overview of “God’s grand plan to defeat evil, rescue his people, and transform his creation.” This week, we focus on discipleship: following Jesus no matter what.
Monday | Revelation 13:1-8
Satan is cast down to earth in Rev. 12. He “sets up shop” and begins to get people to believe lies, worship him, and join in his wicked schemes. But those in the church do not participate. This is an important part of our discipleship: NOT participating in Satan's schemes. What schemes do you see the devil using today? When are you personally tempted by them, or by the structures of the world or desires of your flesh? How does Revelation empower you to resist?
Tuesday | Revelation 9:20-21
A second mark of discipleship is repentance. God’s people are willing to repent- but God’s enemies refuse. Repentance is re-orienting your mind, changing your perspective, and a willingness to follow and listen to someone else. Why do you think this matters so much to God? How does our willingness to repent show the nature of our hearts? What is something you have or you need to repent of?
Wednesday | Revelation 22:7
Keeping the words of this book yields blessings in our lives. After spending time in Revelation, we know that God’s blessing does not look like Satan’s or the world’s blessing. “To keep” can mean to guard, to hold dear, to protect, and it shows us the value of being faithful to God and God’s word. What Bible passage do you have memorized, and what caused you to memorize this one? If none, which one will you try to memorize today? When has God’s Word helped you to persevere? Why do you think the blessing is held together with the promise of Jesus’ return?
Thursday | Jeremiah 17:4-10
Jeremiah paints a picture of the difference between the cursed and the blessed. How do the two trees help you to visualize the difference between a life of trusting in self versus God? What does faithfulness to God and God’s plan yield in our lives? When have you seen this passage play itself out in your life?
Friday | Rev 19:6-10
Our lives are a testimony to others and the world. Jesus shares his loving word of hope through us. There will be resurrection, restoration, and a wedding feast at the end of time, and we get to share that hope no matter what comes our way. Name a challenge and a blessing to sharing your faith with others. If you had a chance, who would you hope to share your faith with today? What was your experience of someone sharing their faith with you?
