Week of October 4, 2026
Monday | Psalm 78:1-8
The whole Bible testifies to generations of people who have remembered and recorded God’s faithfulness to them. Psalm 78 shows how God remains faithful to us no matter what. When has God been faithful to you? Who has shared their story and their relationship with God with you? Spend some time reflecting on those people and the impact they have had on your life, and give thanks to God for them
Tuesday | 1 Peter 3:15-16
Peter encourages us to be always ready to share our hope. Why do you think hope is so pivotal when we tell others about Jesus? What do you make of “whenever anyone asks”? What kinds of things might someone say that would open the door to sharing our faith? Rate your readiness to reply with gentleness and kindness.
Wednesday | Isaiah 52:7-10
The “one who brings good news” is announcing victory to his (or her) community. Imagine the joy and relief you'd feel if someone came and told you the battle had been won. What battles are you facing? What about people in your life? What comfort have you received from the v’ victory over sin, death, and the devil?
Thursday | Mark 16:1-8
The first women to the tomb were too scared to tell anyone. In your walk with Jesus, have you been scared to share your faith? Where is the fear coming from? Why do you think these things hold you back? Pray for the Spirit of love, power, and self-control to be with you.
Friday | Mark 16:9-16
The longer ending of Mark may be a summary addition to the original ending. Regardless, the command from Jesus to “Go” is a command from the King of the universe. Why do you think we are hesitant to go with the good news? What would Jesus rebuke you for? Jesus ends with his command and encouragement. Don’t live in the guilt of failure; lean into the s’ strength and command. How does this empower you as you go?
