Paul calls us to watch out for and care for spiritually weaker brothers and sisters. How do you see yourself today regarding your personal spiritual strength? In what ways might you be stronger and able to help your Christian friends? In what ways have you experienced being spiritually weak and needing spiritual guidance?
Tuesday | Hebrews 10:12-25
Your sins are forgiven and your salvation assured by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ! How are you responding to this gift in how you live? What issues and concerns can shift your focus away from this crucial truth? What people do you have in your life that will encourage you and direct you into responding to Jesus’ love appropriately? Who will spur you on in following Jesus?
Wednesday | I Thessalonians 5:1-28
Who has God put into your life that you can encourage and build up in their faith? How can you help them to live the full life that Jesus offers because of the salvation He has provided? What is a specific step you can take to lift someone up spiritually?
Thursday | Titus 2:1-14
Jesus brought forgiveness of sins, but He also empowers us for a new life that spurns sin and pursues holy living and good works. It is something we learn through the Holy Spirit and the modeling of others. Who has modeled for you and taught you how to live a godly life? Who can help you continue to grow in obedience to God and in doing good works of love? Who might you be a model or teacher for, and how well are you doing in that role?
Friday | 2 Timothy 2:1-13
What pursuits get in the way of your devotion to Jesus and His word? What priorities do you need to shift for your own spiritual health? How can you invest in relationships that will help keep you spiritually on track and strong? In what ways would you like help in learning from God’s Word and putting it into practice?
