Week of July 20, 2025

This week, we are focusing on COURAGE and COMFORT. These “words” for our journey anchor us to the security that our Heavenly Father provides every day of our lives.

Monday | Joshua 1:1-9
God commands Joshua to continue the mission of bringing the people into the Promised Land. What do God’s words here really convey to Joshua? Why do you think he highlights what he does? How do these words encourage you to follow the second Joshua- Jesus- into the eternal Kingdom?

Tuesday | Psalm 119:9-16
This prayer focuses us on the power of focusing on God’s Word. What words of Scripture do you have hidden in your heart? If they aren’t memorized, how will you recall them when you need them? What is one passage from Scripture that you will commit to memory today?

Wednesday | Isaiah 40:28-31
We can rely only on God to give us lasting strength. Where are you tempted to look for your strength? How does being exhausted at the end of the day renew our spiritual connection to Christ? Why can you find comfort in God’s provision?

Thursday | Matthew 11:28-30
Jesus offers an invitation for true comfort in his care. Are you weary and burdened right now? Why or why not? When have you experienced rest for your soul in Christ? Who do you know that needs the rest that Jesus offers?

Friday | Matthew 26:47-56
Jesus was arrested without a fight- he actually commanded that there be no fight. Does God’s angel army impact your view of Jesus’ ministry and mission? Why or why not? How can you seek the face of Jesus, even amid all the turmoil that surrounds you? What do you think you will gain if you can seek Jesus’ presence over all things?
