Week of July 27, 2025

This week, we look at GRATITUDE and its impact on our spiritual walk with Jesus. Take some time this week to be grateful for all that God has done and read the following Scriptures that empower us to live with gratitude to God.

Monday | Deuteronomy 28:45-51
Serving the Lord with gladness is an essential characteristic of God’s chosen people. What did God promise the Old Testament people if they failed to serve him with joy and gladness in their hearts? Why do you think God desires joy alongside service?

Tuesday | Psalm 100
All the earth is invited to the worship service of the one true God. Why do you think gratitude begins with eyes on God, rather than our goods? What gets in the way of your worship and gratitude? How can Psalm 100 lead you into a deeper experience of God’s great joy and peace?

Wednesday | Luke 18:18-30
The rich young ruler was sad at Jesus’ word, because he had a lot of possessions. Jesus calls us to find our gratitude in Him before all other things. What tempts you to find joy outside of Jesus? How can you lead with gratitude when it comes to your possessions? Why is this essential to our walk with Jesus?

Thursday | 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
No situation or event is outside the scope of God’s goodness. What has recently created confusion in you, whether God is working for your good or not? Why do you think God commands us to give thanks in ALL circumstances? For what can you give thanks today?

Friday | Jonah 2:7-10
Jonah’s disobedience landed him in a whale’s belly. But his repentance brought him to gratitude. Why can gratitude be transformational in difficult moments? When has disobedience in your life yielded gratitude through repentance?
