Week of September 20, 2026
Monday | Romans 12:1-13 & 1 Corinthians 12:4-11
God gives spiritual gifts to people as He sees fit. He also gives us all sorts of other abilities/talents, so that we each have a unique set of strengths. What do these verses say our gifts and abilities are for? What gifts and abilities do you have that you are currently using for the good of others? Which gifts and abilities might you be able to do more with, in service to others?
Tuesday | Titus 2:11-3:8
Paul reminds Titus that our motivation for doing good flows from our response to the compassion Jesus shows us. How is your passion or zeal level when it comes to honoring Jesus with your abilities? How does your zeal for Jesus raise your zeal for doing good in His name? What other passions do you have that may get in the way of honoring Jesus and serving others? How can you bring those back under control or into proper priority?
Wednesday | Matthew 5:13-16
What causes Christ followers to lose their “saltiness”? When have you felt worn out and lacking in zeal or energy to do the good that God is calling you to do? In what ways does God reenergize you and motivate you to serve others? How has God given you the ability to be salt and light to those around you? What opportunities is He putting in front of you?
Thursday | Hebrews 12:1-3
When it comes to your gifts and passions, where are you focusing? Jesus’ primary passion was to do the Father's will and save us, so He found joy even in suffering. How does Jesus’ self-giving passion shape how you order your life?
Friday | 1 Chronicles 28:20-29:5
King David was passionate about honoring God with a temple, but God said Solomon would build it. David also wanted his son to succeed as a good, God-honoring king, so he did what he could to help with both. What are you passionate about for God? What can you do, and will you do, to go for it and honor Him with your work?
